Moms Club Of Fillmore
The MOMS Club, a national non-profit organization, has a chapter here in Fillmore for mothers who stay home with their children during the day. Activities include outings, playgroups, speakers, community service projects, and mom's night out. Children are welcome at all times. Please call 524-3438 for additional information.

Shiells Park
Shiells Park is available for weddings, meetings, parties, group barbecues, receptions, baptisms, sports activities or other special events. Rental fees vary depending on the activity with reservations available on a first-come, first-served basis. The park has an attractive playground area for kids.
Reservations should be made at least one month in advance by individuals and groups. The large picnic facilities (2 located at Shiells Park) have eight tables under a covered shelter and are in high demand especially during peak periods such as weekends, holidays and school vacation.

Public facilities, such as trails or parks, are available during posted hours for use at the risk of the participant.

Fillmore Little League Baseball
Fillmore Little League is one of the many Fillmore youth organizations that provides hours of fun and discipline for local youth. Sign-ups and tryouts are held in January and opening day is in March. The regular season runs through June with playoff games following. For more information call league president Laurie Salinas 524-4070.

Fillmore Girls Softball
Fillmore Girls Softball features age divisions for girls 5-14. Fillmore High has always been very strong in girls softball due largely to its very good youth girls softball program. Give your daughter a great opportunity to have fun and make new friends – sign her up for Girls Softball. Registration is in January. Teams will form in February and the first practice will be held March 1. Opening day is scheduled for the middle of March. The regular season runs through June with playoff games following. Fillmore Boys T-Ball
You can learn the basic fundamentals of baseball in this lively program. Available to youth ages 5-7. Registration is in January. American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO)
AYSO provides a friendly environment for youth to learn self-confidence, coordination and team spirit. AYSO is available for youth of all ages. Registration is in July with play beginning in August and ending in November. See how much fun your child(ren) has while learning soccer skills. Call president Greg Aguilar at 524-1113.

Fillmore Youth Football
Fillmore Youth Football is a full-contact sport open to youth ages 8-15. Registration begins in May. The season begins in August and runs through November. Games are played on Saturdays. For more information please contact Steve Conaway at 524-2913.

Fillmore Raiders Cheerleading
Fillmore Raiders Cheerleading is open to youth ages 8-13. The cheerleaders perform routine cheers for the Fillmore youth football program. Sign-ups begin in March. Practices start August 1. All games are played on Saturdays. Contact Lori Nunez at 524-4705.

Golf Lessons
Learn to putt, chip and drive your way into a serious game of golf. Start with the basics in this class then watch your skills and techniques improve with practice. Clubs and golf balls provided. Call Elkins Ranch Golf Course for more information 524-1121.

CPR/First Aid
This class is sponsored by the Fillmore Fire Department, Fillmore Recreation Department and Soroptomist Club. The class teaches students the basic Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques for adults, children and infants. Students will receive a certificate after completing each four-hour class.

Youth Basketball
The Fillmore Recreation Department is now sponsoring the youth basketball program. The program is open to boys and girls grades 1-9. Registration occurs in October with league play beginning in December. Information on the program can be obtained by contacting the Recreation Department.

Adult Softball
The City Recreation Department offers Men's and Co-ed leagues twice a year. The Spring league registration typically begins in late January and the season begins in March. The Fall league registration generally begins in late June and the season begins in September. Cost for the league is $307 + $10/game for umpire. Adult Basketball
The Recreation Department offers adult basketball leagues once a year. Starting time varies depending on the availability of the gymnasium. If you are interested in registering a team or being placed on a team please call and leave a message, 524-4253.

Introduction To Dance – Ballet & Tap Combo
This class will introduce the movement and terminology that are the basics of ballet and tap dance. Students should wear leotards and tights if possible. Ballet and tap shoes are necessary. Classes are offered year round on a four week basis. Class meets Mondays. Cost for the four-week course is $18.00. Classes are held at the Fillmore Senior Center, 533 Santa Clara Avenue.

Beginning Tap Dance
This class will introduce the basic steps and skills of tap dance with an emphasis on rhythm. Students should wear comfortable clothing. Tap shoes are necessary. Classes are offered year round on a four week basis. Class meets Tuesdays. Cost for the four-week course is $18.00. Classes are held at the Fillmore Senior Center, 533 Santa Clara Avenue.

Gymnastics/Tumbling
This class will help children develop coordination, strength, flexibility and confidence through skills taught on spring boards, mats and other equipment. Activities will be taught according to the students age and ability level. Classes are offered year round on a four week basis. Classes meet Thursdays. Cost for the four-week course is $15.00. Classes are held at the Boys & Girls Club, 565 First Street.

Self Defense/Tae Kwon Do
This class will help children develop discipline and respect. It provides safety awareness education and teaches self-defense against bullies and strangers. Classes are offered year round. Class meets Tuesdays. Cost is $5.00 per class. Classes are held at the Fillmore Senior Center, 533 Santa Clara Avenue.

Yoga
Not into the fitness club scene? There is an alternate. Join Yoga. This class offers lots of instruction in proper form and technique. Ages are for teens and up. Classes are offered year round. Classes are 8-9AM Tuesdays and Fridays. Cost is $30.00 per month or $5.00 per class. Classes are held at the Boys & Girls Club, 565 First Street.

Day Park
